Each of us carries a set of identities that are defined by unique and personal experiences. We also deal with life's difficulties in various ways. My priority is to affirm and understand your experiences so that together, we can move you toward empowerment, healing, and personal growth. Whether you are a couple struggling to find more intimacy, a survivor of trauma, or a college student trying to figure out what to do with your life, I'd like to help.
Although I help people with a wide range of concerns, my areas of specialty include couples counseling, acculturation and bicultural identity, trauma/PTSD, anxiety and panic, and working with college/ graduate/ professional students. I am particularly passionate about helping individuals with exploration of sexual minority idenity and racial/ ethnic identity. The celebration of diversity and the promotion of social justice is central to my approach to therapeutic work. My goal is to empower individuals representing diversity in race, ethnicity, immigration status, age, gender expression, socioeconomic status, ability, religious/spiritual, and LGBQ identities to reach their fullest potential.
My services also include psychological assessment with a focus on evaluation of Attention/Hyperactivity Deficit Disorder and academic functioning. Please visit the Services page of this website for information about other services I provide, including counseling services for families and adolescents, personal coaching, and training for businesses and organizations. My offices are conveniently located in Seattle's Maple Leaf neighborhood and in downtown Bellevue. For your convenience, online scheduling is available, as are evening and weekend appointments. A 20-minute consultation is offered to all first-time clients free of charge.
